On Saturday, May 1st, 266 volunteers took on 33 different projects all over the city of Douglasville, GA to show bring hope to people in need. Volunteers met at 9 in the morning to gather with their teams and begin work on projects ranging from painting homes for senior citizens, cleaning up community centers, filling boxes of love for the homeless, hosting birthday parties for foster children, and working with the children of Inner Harbour.
As work was being completed throughout the city, the true goal for ONEDAY was to make an impact in the lives of those involved in each work project. From the workers to the people recipients of the work, ONEDAY was creating to make a real difference in the lives of those in need in our community. We hope that throughout the day lives were touched, memories were created, and real change happened all around our community.
