Help Haiti: Hands and Feet Orphanage

hf1

For our next give love away endeavor we want to help the children of Haiti.  We are partnering with the Hands and Feet Project, an orphanage in Jacmel, Haiti.  This was an area, like many, devastated by the earthquake.  The Hands and Feet orphanage was established in 2005 and houses 50 children and that number grows weekly.  We are collecting donations starting at $15. Donations of $25 or more will receive a free Least of These t-shirt. Give today and help change a life in Haiti!Unto Me Design Prev

Saturday Flood Relief

Crossroads Flood Relief Volunteers,

First, let me thank you again for making the decision to bring HOPE and HELP to thousands of hurting people. People are still very much in desperate need of your love, support, and hard work. In the city of Austell alone, over 50% of the people are now homeless. How staggering is that?

We are continuing to partner with HopeAtl.com and their organized volunteer efforts. If volunteers come together in big numbers, we could really help to begin healing broken communities. Let me give you a few facts and encourage you to volunteer tomorrow. Hope needs you…and your crew!

HopeAtl will be setting up check-in tents on Saturday on the front lawn of Ewing Road Baptist Church (4699 Ewing Rd Austell, GA 30106) @ 9:30am. This is the central information hub and direction will be given to addresses where work is needed. Even if you are an old pro, please come here and check in before getting to work. It will take efficiency to another level.

If you happen to have any tools (hammers, crowbars, saws, wheelbarrows, …anything…load them up and bring them with you.) If you don’t have any tools, just plan on working twice as hard to make up for it.

Although it may be warm, we need you to wear a long sleeve shirt and long pants with shoes you don’t mind ruining. We have a variety of work that is needed that can cater to any challenges or limitations you may have. It would also be wise for you to bring your own lunch, snacks, and some water, etc.

We need more volunteers! Tell everyone you know about hopeATL & encourage them to make a difference!

If if you wish to make a donation, please consider doing so soon @hopeATL.com – 100% of your donation goes directly to help flood victims get back on their feet. Thanks again for Giving Love Away!

Flood Relief Work Team – Thursday

We are partnering with www.hopeatl.com and Courageous Church who have created an amazing network of churches and volunteers on the ground helping people in need. Here is how you can help:

Our staff team will be traveling directly to Austell tomorrow to work with Courageous Church and the HopeATL team. We will meet at Crossroads at 8:15am and travel to Ewing Road Baptist Church (4699 Ewing Road in Austell) for a 9:00am meeting. We will dispurse into work teams from the school.

If you can join our team tomorrow, please let me know so I can be expecting you. If you are coming tomorrow, need you to wear a long sleeve shirt and pants with shoes you don’t mind ruining (also bring some work gloves!).

Here is a list of tools you can bring with you:
ALL tools required to demolish and build a home (hammers, carpet knives, exacto knives, screw drivers, saws, drills, bits, crowbars, wrenches, measuring tape, levels, sledgehammers, etc.)
Pressure Washers to clean mold, sewage, mud, muck, etc. off of homes

If you cannot make it during the week, we are hoping to have hundreds -maybe thousands- of people at Clarksdale Elementary this Saturday at 9am. There is so much work to do. Thanks for giving love away.
